Time Flies
The
next few weeks flew by with the new routine that everyone somehow seemed to fall
into. When Jasper was busy with his new electoral work and council meetings in
town, everyone had their own things keeping them busy to pass the time with;
which also kept Jasper content.
Kiren’s
black eye healed quickly, even though Adette and Melanie had offered to ‘wish’
for her that it would heal, she had decided that it would be best to let it
heal on its own so as not to anger Jasper.
Managing
to stick to the in the gym most days, working on improving her martial arts, she
was able to put her frustrations from being used as one of Jasper’s regular tools into her training. Despite sharing
the space with Reiss while he spent his time doing strength training, they both
seemed to be keeping their distance from each other as much as possible and
only spoke short ‘hello’s’ or ‘see you later’ when they did meet up.
Adette
and Melanie were usually on the other side of the house on the library veranda
working on their more artistic creativity.
Melanie
enjoyed taking out her frustrations out on sculpting, she was good at working
with all sorts of materials and seemed to get lost in her work more often than
not and had to be called out to when lunch or dinner was ready.
Adette
had an uncanny and brilliant talent for painting and Kiren also found that she
had a unique trait of being able to withstand sunlight, unlike Reiss who had to
stay inside or sleep during the daytime.
Under
Jasper’s watchful eye, as long as everyone was careful with every word, step
and action they took when he was around, nothing bad happened to anyone.
By
the end of the month though, for Adette, enough was enough. She got Kiren and
Melanie to join her in getting dressed up just as sunset was fading to dark on
a Saturday evening.
“We’re
having a girl’s night out, dancing, drinking and most of all, getting out of
this Watcher forsaken mansion before I bite someone out of frustration.”
Kiren
adjusted her bracelets and glanced at her in the mirror. “Have you done this
before, I mean, what if he... you know, gets mad?”
“Oh
pfft,” Adette scoffed and waved her hand absently. “What’s he going to get mad at, seriously, that
we went out and let off some steam somewhere else that’s not here? Screw that
for a bad joke, we’re going, both of you move your cute butts. Now.”
Adette
basically had to push both Kiren and Melanie downstairs and outside, a taxi arrived
just as they were coming out the front door.
The
club Adette chose to go to was buzzing. The music blared making Kiren’s sure
she could feel her chest pounding with the beat of the music, the lights shone
brightly and flashed around in bright ever changing colours and shapes, and the
dance floor was so packed of Sims dancing it was hard to believe anybody could
find room to move.
The
girls quickly got drinks for themselves and began to have a great time. It
wasn’t long before Adette was tearing up the dance floor with her own moves
while Melanie and Kiren soon followed her and all three of them danced the
first part of the night away as if it was something they did all the time.
The
bar tender who was kinda cute, was flirting with all of them when they went to
get more drinks, Adette flirted right back while Kiren and Melanie just smiled
and watched him perform clever tricks as most bartenders did, as he made their
drinks.
It
was well past two in the morning when they got back to the mansion, as they
came inside whispering, stumbling slightly and giggling, they were all slightly
surprised to find Jasper was waiting for them right inside the front door and
he didn’t look impressed.
“Well
well well, what do we have we here? I don’t think I gave any of you permission
to go out while I was away, now did I?” His voice was low and the question was rhetorical.
Melanie
was the saving grace and spoke up without batting an eye lid, mostly because
she had drunk the most; she seemed unafraid of the consequences of answering
back to him in her state of mind.
“Oh
babe, come on... we just went out dancing. We needed to blow off some steam,
just a girl’s night out, harmless fun.”
Jasper
looked over the three of them before slowly nodding his head.
“Ok
then, babe, since you want to take
responsibility for the three of you girls, you can come with me.”
Jasper
laughed wickedly as he picked up Melanie and began to walk off with her towards
the stairs. Kiren could help but let out a silent and relieved breath at Jasper’s
somewhat relaxed attitude.
Taking
her queue to leave everyone to their own devices, Kiren made her way to the kitchen;
Adette had been met by Matt and was swept off her feet by him as he seemed to be
in dire need of her company and he had made off towards the stairs with her in
his arms.
Getting
to the kitchen archway, Kiren was stopped by Reiss who suddenly appeared in
front of her blocking her way. He grinned slyly and with a playful look in his
eyes.
“And
where are you going?”
Kiren
folded her arms in annoyance at him and cleared her throat.
“I’m
going to get a cup of tea, it’s been
a long night and after that I’m heading off to bed, if you don’t mind.”
She
skirted around him went into the kitchen over to the brewing counter, her head
was fuzzy from drinking a little too much and she wanted to clear it was as
soon a she could before sleeping.
At
the counter, Reiss took her by her waist and spun her about to face him leaning
over her.
He
breathed in deeply taking in her heady perfume of the sweet nectar she had been
drinking all evening, he sighed with his breath out, and his eyes were dreamily
half closed.
“You
know, tonight I actually do mind...’
He purred at her “You see, I have been craving a drink of something warm and
sweet...” He breathed in deeply again. “And you have what I crave right now...”
Kiren tried to blink away the fuzziness and focus on what Reiss was saying to
her her mind told her he was flirting with her while something in the
background flashed a warning.
“But...
my blood could be dan...” She felt breathless as she spoke; the thought of
having someone drink her blood was something else she had never considered to
think of before.
“Why
don’t we just... go with the flow...”
Without a word Reiss
took her by the hand, Kiren couldn’t shake away the fuzzy feeling from her head
and let him lead her upstairs, everything seemed dreamlike to her.
In
dark décor room, Reiss sat her down in the chair by the door, and then knelt
beside her.
“I’d
like to drink from your wrist; it’ll be easier and won’t hurt you too badly, I
won’t take much... or, you can get up and walk away...” Reiss’s face was calm
and oddly emotionless as he looked up at her.
Kiren
paused, she wanted to say something, but her mind felt foggy. She found herself
holding out her arm to him, her heart was pounding in her ears like a drum
becoming faster and faster, she could see the excited anticipation suddenly
sparkle in his eyes.
Gently,
Reiss took her arm. For a moment his fingers played along the soft skin of her
wrist, tracing over her veins. Like ripping off a band-aid, without warning he grasp more firmly on her wrist and lifted it to his lips biting down into her flesh, it stung like
a burn for the first few moments making her gasp, then she began to feel numb
and slightly dizzy.
After
a while he stopped and placed his hand over where he had bitten to suppress the
bleeding, he looked up at her, his eyes swirling with both purple and green,
him and her.
“I
wish where I bit you was healed.”
He
looking directly into her eyes as he whispered the wish; he smiled slightly as
she went to protest.
Her
head swirled again from the sudden surge of magic and loss of blood, for a
second Kiren wondered if she was going to pass out.
In
her dream like state Reiss picked her up from the chair and pushed her up
against the wall by the door; she found his lips pressed to hers in a
passionate kiss and she could seem to only respond back by melting into his arms
and kissing him back. All of her stress seemed to melt away in those moments
and she felt as though she was a free as the air she breathed, something in her
seemed revived, rejuvenated almost.
Adette
suddenly came storming into the room from the adjoining bathroom, she got right
into Reiss’s face as she shoved him away from Kiren.
“You stupid dickhead, are all of you black-bloods insane or are do you only think with one part of your anatomy like other idiotic male Sims?” Adette whispered fiercely to him her eyes blazing with colour almost as brightly as torches. Kiren couldn’t understand why she was so furious at what Reiss and she were doing.

Kiren couldn’t understand why she was so furious at what Reiss and she were doing.
“What
the fuck Adette? Firstly, why aren’t you with Matt and secondly, why do you
care all of the sudden, huh?” He snapped back at her in the same whispered fury.
“As
usual, Matt can’t hold a drink of water to save his life.” Adette scoffed slightly,
before returning to her angry attitude. “And
I’m following orders, like you should
be.”
Kiren stood back for
a moment feeling awkward at them arguing around her.
Before
she could stop herself she spoke up, her head was still spinning which made her
unsure if what she was about to say would make any sense or get her into
trouble.
“Adette
if you like Reiss you should have just...” It got her into trouble.
The
sharp sting came across her cheek that felt like fire.
“No, I don’t you bottle
headed moron...” Adette snapped. “But if you want to get yourself entangled with
something you've got no idea about and may only succeed in getting you and your
family killed, be my fucking guest.”
Adette
went to lash out at Kiren a second time, Reiss snatched her wrist holding it
firmly; he spoke softly through gritted teeth.
“Don’t
ever hit her again or I swear I will
drain you myself, hang you from the rafters in the noon-day sun and watch you
turn to dust. Do I make myself clear?” He half pushed her away as he let her arm
go. “I drank her blood and I kissed her, don’t turn this around on her
or me because of your past screw ups.”
Kiren
slipped past them and went though the bathroom back to her room, she had no
idea what either of them were talking about from that point on and didn’t want
to since everything had suddenly become way more complicated than what she
prepared for at the moment.
Reiss
and Adette talked for a while longer, but Kiren could only hear their muffled
voices through the doors.
Adette
returned to the bedroom sometime later to find Kiren sitting on the footstool;
she looked away from Adette as Adette leaned on the bed post and let out a
defeated sigh.
“Ok,
I’m sorry for intruding on you... but I have good reasons for...”
“Oh?
You wouldn’t feel like indulging me as to what your reasons would be by any
chance?” Kiren snapped angrily at her.
For
the first time Adette bit her bottom lip and, Kiren scoffed shaking her head
looking back at the wall. “I didn’t think so, always the way.”
“If
I could I would, it’s... complicated and...”
“It’s always complicated Adette... Do you think I’ve just lived hidden away in my bottle for the last four thousand years and not seen complicated, for fucks sake seriously.” Adette seemed taken aback by Kiren’s sudden aggression, she went to say something but Kiren interrupted her. “I’ll find a way out of this hell hole and if it kills me, at least I’ll have tried.”

Kiren
got up and went into the bathroom slamming and locking the door behind her. She
ran herself a bubble bath in the hopes she would have calmed down and relax a
little.
With no real idea how she was going to get out at that moment in time Kiren
didn’t feel like caring anymore, no one else seemed to want to get out of this place, but she knew that she sure as hell wanted to.
Boy does Reiss have it bad lol and what is with Adette, I'm guessing that maybe Reiss and Adette dated years ago and she hates seeing him with another while they are trapped in this hell.
ReplyDeletewell, I can say... maybe, and maybe... hehe
DeleteHmm maybe they have dated in the past??? I can't wait to find out. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Jasper found out though...what if they had proceeded to go further and Adette hadn't interrupted? I really hope Reiss and Kiren can find a way to have something and they both can escape Jasper's clutch on them.
